Pleasant Home is open to the public for weekly tours, artistic performances, and community events.

Week of October 7 - 13

Thursday, October 10: Self-guided tours only 12-4pm

Friday, October 11: Guided tours 12pm and 1pm. Self-guided tours 2-4pm

Saturday, October 12: Self-guided tours only 12 - 4pm

Sunday, October 13: Self-guided tours only 12 - 2pm

 

Week of October 14-20

Thursday, October 17: Guided tours 12 and 1pm; Self-guided tours 2-4pm

Friday, October 18: Guided tours 12 and 1pm; Self-guided tours 2-4pm

Saturday, October 19: No regular tours, Join us for Open House Chicago! Free Admission 10am-4pm

ADMISSION & TOUR RATES

Members are always free!

 

General Admission (Self-Guided): $5 per person

 

Admission with Guided-Tour:

Adults - $10.00

Seniors 65+ and students (18+ with I.D.) - $8.00

Children between 6 and 18 - $7

 

Free for children 5 and under

Free for Illinois teachers

 

Pleasant Home will be FREE to the public weekdays (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday -  2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.) during the months of January and February.

Accessibility 
The first floor of Pleasant Home is accessible for wheelchairs. There is no disabled access to the house’s upper floors, but we do have two photo albums of historical photographs available for review.

 

Please call us at (708) 383-2654 to make arrangements to use our wheelchair lift.

Located at the corner of Pleasant Street and Home Avenue, just steps from downtown Oak Park, shopping, restaurants, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Home & Studio and Unity Temple.

 

Directions

By train: Take the CTA Green Line or Metra UP-W line to Harlem.  Walk east one block to Home Avenue, then south one block to Pleasant Street.


By car: Take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290 to Harlem Avenue).  

Exit north and go 5 blocks to Pleasant Street. Go east 3 blocks. Pleasant Home will be on the right at Home Avenue.
